Anxiety
Digital art collection, 2022
Anxiety is a collection of three abstract digital self-portraits reflecting emotional tension, fear, sorrow and psychological vulnerability. Created in response to personal experiences intensified by the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the works explore anxiety as both an internal state and a constant emotional presence.
The collection incorporates the sound of air raid sirens, a sound heard daily by Ukrainians since the beginning of the invasion transforming collective fear, uncertainty, and emotional exhaustion into an immersive audiovisual experience.
Through abstraction, distortion, sound, and layered digital textures, the works reflect on trauma while holding onto the belief that kindness, empathy, and love remain essential forces in the world.
The collection consists of three digital self-portraits created in Procreate and Adobe After Effects.
